ABOUT US
Layan Jewellery was founded in 1988 by Lebanese jeweler Wasim Ezzo in Kuwait. It offered modern diamond and gold pieces, along with direct access to reputable International diamond manufacturers. Later, Ezzo established a parent company, Jewel Box, in 1997, which oversaw several brands, including Layan Jewellery. The company also opened additional branches, such as the International Diamond Exhibition for Jewellery (IDEJ) and Midway for Fairs.
In 2000, Ezzo launched a diamond exhibition in a Free Trade Zone in Kuwait, allowing international jewelers to showcase their items without import fees. This move attracted more international jewelers to the untapped Kuwaiti market. IDEJ became the supplier of high-demand International diamonds to Kuwait. Following the success of IDEJ exhibitions, Ezzo was appointed the GCC head of the Indian Jewelers through an agreement with MMTC and HHEC.
IDEJ moved to Olympia mall in Salmiya in 2014 to showcase iconic pieces from 14 jewelers. It has held over 70 diamond jewelry exhibitions in the GCC, with quarterly exhibitions since 2016. Ezzo is now expanding IDEJ to include 21 and 22 karat gold wholesale.
Jewel Box for Jewellery Co. Kuwait is the most eminent boutique jewelry exhibition organizer in Kuwait, known for its quarterly “International Diamond Exhibition for Jewellery” (IDEJ) platform. The IDEJ showcases exclusive diamond collections from Indian jewelers, with a selection committee ensuring diversity in designs while maintaining quality. The IDEJ store is located in the Olympia Mall in Salmiya, Kuwait.
